Shotton Walkers Campaigns
Our Campaigns
Every campaign starts the same way: someone says “what if we walked it?” and nobody has a good enough reason to say no.
Since 2020 we’ve walked the length of North Wales, crossed the country from County Durham, and put one foot in front of the other for a lot longer than was sensible. Here’s every campaign we’ve done, and every cause we’ve done it for.
2025 — Llandudno to Deeside
40 miles · 16 hours · one day CALM · The Not Forgotten Association
The whole North Wales coast in a single push. Out of Llandudno station at 04:30, through Rhos-on-Sea, Abergele, Prestatyn, Greenfield and Connah’s Quay, and into Hendy’s in Shotton at 19:30. One day, no sleep, forty miles.
2021 — Shotton to Shotton
160 miles · 7 days · £15,000 raised CALM · The Not Forgotten Association
Shotton Colliery in County Durham to Shotton in Deeside — coast to coast, a marathon a day for a week, finishing on our own doorstep. Planned through lockdown and walked from 26th September to 2nd October, it remains the biggest thing we’ve ever taken on.
2020 — Holyhead to Prestatyn
81 miles · 48 hours · £8,000+ raised Prostate Cancer UK · The Not Forgotten Association
The one that started it all. Five friends, a dry January, and 81 miles down the North Wales coast from Holyhead Ferry Terminal — 25 miles on day one, then 38 brutal miles through filthy weather into Prestatyn. The Not Forgotten Association told us it was the largest single donation they’d received in a hundred years.
What’s next?
